Crisp Film is a fine, creamy-white powder that forms clear, flexible films without requiring hydration or cooking. It is a high-amylose modified maize starch. Products thickened with Crisp Film and Ultratex dry into a crisp glass at room temperature. It forms flexible, transparent films with excellent gloss that dry quickly and are flavourless. Used as a coating for fried food, it acts as a protective barrier and increases crispness by reducing oil absorption. Use with fruit and vegetable purées to make cannelloni tubes, shapes and baskets, or add to biscuits for extra crunch. Suitable for vegans and vegetarians, non-GMO, gluten-free, kosher-friendly and halal-friendly.
