What is dextrose powder?

Our dextrose in powder (also known as grape sugar) is a high quality refined powder, a natural form of glucose which is a simple monosaccharide found in plants. It has a wide variety of uses that include adding to juices, smoothies, cocktails and drinks. It is used in cakes and baked goods as a sugar substitute (it is 70% sweeter than basic sugar) and is very hygroscopic. It provides flexibility to fondant icing and inhibits crystallization in ice creams and sorbets and has a high glycemic index. Suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
