A sodium alginate bath is a basic preparation for reverse spherification, also used for Bloody Mary and White Russian spheres.

Ingredients
- 5g Special Ingredients Sodium Alginate
- 1 Litre Water - (use low calcium water such as Volvic - less than 15mg calcium per litre)
Directions
Start blending the water and gradually sprinkle in the sodium alginate. Blend until fully dispersed.
Refrigerate for 2 hours: once the bubbles disperse, the solution will look clearer.
