Konjac powder (glucomannan) – natural thickener
Konjac powder, also known as glucomannan, is a completely natural product obtained from the root of the konjac plant. Unlike many other thickeners, it is gluten-free and has approximately 10 times the thickening power of conventional cornflour. This versatile, low-calorie ingredient is a staple of vegan cooking.
Use it to thicken soups, sauces, gravy, custard, puddings, pie fillings, casseroles and many other foods. It provides a natural alternative to conventional thickeners.
