What are vanilla beans?

Our vanilla pods are Grade A vanilla beans from Madagascar and are of the highest quality. Extra large, 14-18cm long. Madagascar vanilla is known for its floral and fruity flavours. Vanilla is often described as warm, creamy and buttery with a familiar essence. Grown in Madagascar, the pods can be used in a variety of ways to impart the pure and intense flavour of vanilla in applications such as ice cream, crème brulee, baked goods, frostings, desserts, custards, pastries, custards and drinks.
